New Samsung Galaxy S20 Review

by Daren Jack

Samsung Galaxy S20 is almost around the corner. The official launch of the device is going to be on February 13th, 2020.

However, a lot of information has already surfaced online for us to get a good idea of what to expect on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11, also known as Galaxy S20 now.

In this article, we shall include every rumored/leaked info available out there until the official launch.

Note: This post will be updated regularly to reflect the latest information available on the Galaxy S20 series. Also, it is worth noting that some of the leaks mention “Galaxy S11” – which is an essential “Galaxy S20” now.

All thanks to @OnLeaks and 91Mobiles, we do have some amazing renders of how the smartphone might end up looking.

If the trusted leaksters are to be believed, the new Samsung Galaxy S20 will have a punch-hole display with a front-camera placed at the center of the screen instead of the top-right corner (as seen in the Galaxy S10).

All of the variants will feature curved-edge displays in comparison to the flat approach on the Galaxy S10e.

As for the images available, the Galaxy S20 will sport a five-camera setup on the rear side, if the render is to be believed.

While it is being rumored that the new Galaxy S20 might feature a 108 MP rear camera, an official YouTube video for Samsung’s new 108 MP sensor was spotted:

If the Galaxy S20 is made with the latest Qualcomm’s high-end chip (highly probable), the eletro-optics performance will be unhitched by the extraordinary camera capabilities of Snapdragon 865.

In addition to the variants, you should also get 5G/4G models as per its availability.

It also features a 120 Hz refresh rate for the screen – the S20 series could sport bigger displays this time.

@Evleaks did mention that you will have three variants with 6.2-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.9-inch displays respectively for S20, S20+, and the S20 Ultra. In other words, it should be as big as the Note 10.

As per the recent reports by SamMobile, the regular Galaxy S20 will pack in a 4000 mAh battery while the S20+ will feature a 4500 mAh battery.

And, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will have a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, as per the specifications leaked recently.

The Galaxy S20+/S20 may have the 25W fast charging support, as the specifications spotted in Geekbench suggest.

It is not set in stone if the LTE variants with Snapdragon 865 will highlight 12 GB of RAM or not but you can expect 128 GB storage options as the minimum.

Also, this time, as reported by SamMobile, Samsung may consider selling Snapdragon variants in more markets.

Not much is known about the performance and the capability of the device but it will be safe to assume that the Galaxy S20 could utilize the full potential of Snapdragon 865 (which is reportedly better than Apple’s A13 chip).

We’ve already covered the rumored pricing for the Galaxy S20 series – just for a reminder, here’s how it looks like:

S20 5G: $900-1000

S20+ 5G: $1050-1100

S20 Ultra 5G: $1300

The 4G LTE variant should be priced lower than the 5G variants – but the difference will be around $100, probably.
